A Study On The Interpretation Of Hanyu Da Zidian(?????)(Second Edition)in Radical Yue(?)

The "Hanyu Da Zidian(?????)"(hereinafter referred to as the "Da Zidian")is one of China's most authoritative modern language dictionaries,providing an mportant references for people reading literature and related research.However,due to the vastness of the editing project,the numerous volumes,and the limitations of objective conditions,it is inevitable that there are still some deficiencies.This article adopts the radical Yue(?)of the "Da Zidian" as the research object to make corrections to the interpretation part,for the purpose of further improving the dictionary.This article is divided into four chapters.The first chapter mainly introduces the thesis background and research object,focusing on the study of the word and shape,phonetic notation,interpretation,citation,and style of the "Da Zidian",.Also,it systematically summarizes the research status in radical Yue(?),and introduces the research objectives and research methods of the paper.The second chapter deals with the meaning revision,mainly discusses the deficiencies in the setting of the meanings of the Chinese characters in radical Yue(?).The first section supplements the meaning not included and presents the generation time and specific usages of these meanings.The second section expands research on the issues of mis-specified meanings and focuses on the two cases of the Orphaned Card Righteousness Item(????)and controversial illustrations to analyze dialectically.The third chapter is to point out some flaws in the explanations,mainly probing into the two issues of inaccurate definitions and unclear expressions in radical Yue(?).The first section criticizes the incompleteness of interpretation and the misunderstanding of annotates.The second section summarizes the meanings of the unclear expressions,supplementing explanations inexplicable expressions in order to make some recommendations for the perfection of interpretation.The fourth chapter is to emend the citing mistakes,summarizing the problems existing in the dictionary citation from five aspects.The first section analyzes dialectically the more controversial citations in the dictionary,reviews various viewpoints,and provides references for the distinction and selection of citations.The second section points out the examples in the dictionary that do not match the paraphrases and reclassifies them.The third section collects the typical cases of different eras to supplement the meanings which lack of illustrations.In the fourth section,some meanings are explored which citations are not the earliest examples of their usage,and a few earlier cases are added in order to better reflect the origins of the meanings.In the fifth section,collation of the cited documents is carried out to correct the mistakes of texts,the missing words and the unwanted words in the citations so as to fu rther improve the authority and accuracy of the "Da Zidian".
