Guqin,also known as Yaoqin,Yuqin,Sitong and Qixianqin(lit.seven-stringed instrument),is a traditional Chinese instrument with a history of at least 3000 years.The earliest written records of the instrument can be found in the Book of Songs.Guqin embodies the essence of ancient Chinese traditional culture and ancient aesthetic idea.Its own cultural connotation and artistic aesthetic concept reveal the profound cultural,philosophical,artistic,educational and unique qualities.After Guqin was listed as the world intangible cultural heritage in 2003,Guqin began to be sought after by the public,and a large number of Guqin studios had emerged in various places.Niche and private Guqin teaching has turned into a popular,open and large-scale business training mode.Under this background,what problems are existing in Guqin education nowadays,and what kind of management and standard should be carried out by Guqin studios as a profit-making training institution.This paper aims at the overall situation of Guqin education in Kunming.It studies the main three parts,which including government,the Guqin studios and the society(related associations and students)from the perspective of public governance,using interviews,questionnaires and the method of auditing courses to know the whole situation of Guqin education at present.The study found that the Kunming government's propaganda and guidance for Guqin culture is not enough,lacking of corresponding supervision and management for the running of Guqin hall;as far as Guqin education is concerned,as to the organizations of Guqin studios,they are in a small and micro scale and undisciplined operation;in terms of society,Guqin students lack the corresponding supervision of the institutions compared to the omission of the related associations.based on the research,Kunming is in shortage of Guqin teachers,whose teaching level are quite different,also the qualities of education are mixed.To solve the above problems,this study proposes that in the process of protecting Qin music inheritance,the organizations,government and society(related associations and students)should make joint efforts.They should promote the orderly and healthy development of the cultural education of Qin music in Kunming under the guidance of cultural awareness.
