| Johann Baptist Vanhal(1739.5.12-1813.8.20)was an important musician in the classical period."Bass Concerto" is the only Concerto for bass in his life.It is regarded as a classic by bass players.This paper studies the background of music creation,music form analysis and performance analysis.Chapter one elaborates the background of Vanhal’s life,the improvement of chord-fixing method and the differences of music versions.Since Vanhal’s "Bass Concerto" was created in the transitional period of the bass chord-setting method in the year of its creation,it later underwent several hundred years of "evolutionary history" of chord-setting method,with successive versions in E flat major,C major and D major.Because of the different chord setting methods between the ancient bass and the modern bass,many different music versions have been published.In this paper,different versions of music scores are combed and compared concisely.Chapter two focuses on the analysis of musical form and structure.The first movement(Allegro moderator)is a sonata with an introduction and an ending and omitting the connection.The second movement(Adagio)is a complex trilogy with Sonata characteristics,in which the middle part is written in an expansive way.The third movement(Allegro)is in sonata form.In the third chapter,from the perspective of performance,the comparison of audio-visual versions,visual analysis of recording,grasp of playing style and technical difficulties are analyzed from multiple dimensions.Then,the author summarizes bowing and fingering methods based on the experience gained from the author’s performance practice,in order to achieve good performance effect,so that the audience can have resonance. |
