The First Circle is adapted by Russian writer Solzhenitsyn according to his own experience in the labor camp.In typology,we can incorporate The First Circle into the urban literature of Russian literature.Following this path, through text analysis,we can find that the writer constructs a triple political space with metaphorical function in the novel, starting from Marfino's "Salashka".The writer reproduces another aspect of the city of Moscow in the 1940 s,through combing the portrayal of many characters and the display of the image of a particular city, which reflects the writer's recollection and reflection on this particular history, and expreses Solzhenitsyn's wise thinking on the future fate of the Russian nation and his deep concern about the moral issues of humanity. In addition to the introduction and conclusion, this paper is divided into three parts, all of which focus on the content. The introduction introduces the current situation of the study of Solzhenitsyn's works at home and abroad, and describes the purpose and significance of this study. The first part focuses on the theme of "upside-down Moscow" in the novel The First Circle,by using the perspective method to analyze the text and depicts the triple political space constructed by the author: the first political space is the power world with various privileges represented by official dignitaries and celebrities in Moscow;the second political space is the "middle zone" under strict surveillance;the third political space is the underground world represented by prisoners of labour reform.Combining Foucault's "Heterotopia" theory with Bakhtin's "Carnival" theory, this paper makes a textual analysis of the underground world and the power world, and summarizes the hierarchical system of the three spaces and the value system embodied by the representatives. It is concluded that Solzhenitsyn uses the metaphor of "the first circle" in Divine Comedy to construct a Moscow with the opposite sequence of virtues, namely upside-down Moscow, which is full of the author's reflection on the value of human existence and the exploration of moral choice. The second part focuses on the analysis of the characters of the two pedigrees in The First Circle, namely the Athens Academy pedigree and the Last Supper pedigree. The Athens Academy's pedigree of characters consists of prisoners in Salashka, represented by Rubin,Sologkin and Nehren. The "Last Supper" pedigree consists of high-ranking celebrities and ordinary people, represented by Innokenty and Shakov. The two lineages are interrelated and interrelated in their development. The same with Nehren,in the spiritual dimension,Innokenty eventually approached the Athens College pedigree. The third part focuses on the city image of Moscow in the novel The First Circle, such as "Isolated Island","Ark" and "Hidden Gehrig City".The urban image of the novel is the author's poetic construction of the city.Solzhenitsyn lays out the whole framework of the novel by means of fiction. At the same time,he also integrates symbolism and other artistic techniques to create another poetic world different fromthe real time and space of the main body of the novel, and embodies the author's religious Aesthetics and moral aesthetics. The image of "isolated island" accurately summarizes the relationship between Moscow(Soviet Union)and other world at that time, and also expresses the writer's concern about the living condition of the people in the isolated island and his intellectual thinking about the historical origin of the tragic fate of the individual. The image of "ark" reflects the resistance of Moscow's marginal people to the mainstream society, which is full of redemptive significance. The root of saving the fate of the Russian nation lies in the excellent traditional culture of Russia represented by the Orthodox Church, and in the "hidden city of Geiger".The concluding part summarizes the above three chapters, and analyses and refines Solzhenitsyn's deep thinking about human nature, morality and the way out for the nation.
