A Report On English-Chinese Translation Under The Guidance Of Newmark's Communicative Translation Theory

As a common translation style,the translation of scientific and technological texts has attracted much attention from scholars with the deepening development of globalization and the rapid boom of science and technology.The translation of the scientific and technical monograph belongs to a small category of scientific and technological texts translation.With the increasingly serious environmental pollution and the depletion of fossil fuels,people are more and more eager to do further research in the field of energy.In depth,the translation of renewable energy has aroused interest and concern of domestically and broad scholars.From the perspective of Newmark communicative translation theory,this report studies the methods used in the excerpted English-Chinese translation of Resilient Energy Systems Renewables:Wind,Solar,Hydro.This report holds four parts.The first part briefly explains the translation project.The second part introduces pre-translation analysis and pre-translation preparation,including scientific and technological texts and Newmark communicative theory.The third part focuses on the analysis of the characteristics of scientific and technological text translation from three aspects:vocabulary,syntax and discourse,and from the perspective of communicative translation theory.The last part is the conclusion.
