"Japan Is The World's Largest Resource And Environmental Country" (excerpt) Translation Practice Report

The Fukushima nuclear accident in 2011 made people realize the danger and destruction of nuclear power development.The development and utilization of renewable and clean energy such as solar energy and wind energy has gradually become the mainstream of world development.As a big developing country in technology,China has increasingly frequent international exchanges.In order to better promote international cooperation and the development of technology,the translation of technology texts is essential.In this translation practice,the author selects the second chapters of the book "Japan is the world's largest country in resources and environment" for excerpt translation.The main text type of the translated text is natural technology text,which describes the situation of renewable energy in Japan and some advanced technologies of renewable energy power generation in Japan.The author hopes that through the translation of this book,the readers in China can realize the merits of Japan in the development of renewable energy,so as to promote the development of energy technology in China.This translation practice report consists of four parts: introduction,brief introduction of translation process,translation case analysis and translation practice summary.Based on Newmark's text type theory,communicative translation and semantic translation theory,the author chooses communicative translation as the main method.The author uses various translation techniques such as addition translation,inversion translation,separation and reorganization to explore the characteristics and Translation methods and techniques of Japanese scientific and technological texts.Finally,the author summarizes the problems and difficulties encountered in the process of translation,summarizes the translation methods suitable for scientific and technological texts,uses literal translation,annotation,free translation and other methods for loanwords,and seeks the relative Chinese terms.In the face of long and difficult sentences,we can solve the syntactic problems by checking parallel texts,translating long and short sentences,splitting and merging sentences,so as to achieve the best translation effect.
