Cangzhou Wooden Drum is one of the traditional folk arts in Hebei Province.First emerged at the rural county of Cangzhou City in transition from late Ming to early Qing Dynasty,Cangzhou Wooden Drum radiated out to the counties within the central Hebei Province,together with places as Beijing,Tianjin and so on and so forth,which now becomes a unique musical art.Along with the social development,Cangzhou Wooden Drum faces both the difficulties in the aging of the inheritor and in the absence of successors.In the year of 2006,Cangzhou Wooden Drum was included in the first batch of National Intangible Cultural Heritage,thanks to the promotion from the municipal government and the cultural center,and it unveiled the new era of Cangzhou Wooden Drum.Therefore,the author explores thoroughly into the inheriting methods and processes,taking Cangzhou Wooden Drum as the object of the study.This thesis consists of four parts,starting with Introduction,which is the brief introduction of the four sub-parts as follow: Origin and Intention of the Study,Theoretical Background,General Description of the Reference and,Ideology and Methodology of the Study.In the following Part one of the mainbody,throughout the analysis of the cultural origin and ontology structure,the author introduces the historical evolution and existing forms of Cangzhou Wooden Drum,as well as the attentive organizing of Cangzhou Wooden Drum's sentence structure,lyric and rhyming characteristics,and the performing of the musical instruments.The second part bases the process and the result of the cultural heritage of Cangzhou Wooden Drum on the field investigation on the heritages through family inheritance,masterapprentice relationship,tutoring schools,and the society,from the perspectives of educational anthropology,and the peculiarities of the four foregoing inheriting patterns of the cultural heritage are also generalized.On the analysis of the educational function that Cangzhou Wooden Drum presents,the last part of this thesis briefs the cultivating and promoting roles Cangzhou Wooden Drum plays both on the intelligent and non-intelligent aspects.This chapter also states the necessity of the cultural heritage and its limitations,in the sight of the preceding experience,the present situation,and the modern construction of Cangzhou Wooden Drum's heritage.The missing elements within the development of the four educational venues are mutually summarized,so as to inspect the educational value of the cultural heritage of Cangzhou Wooden Drum at different angles.
