Study On Archaeological History Of Shiyang River Basin

It is the first time that all archaeological activities in the Shiyang River basin have been systematically organized for the past 100 years,and the archaeological activities within the basin have been divided by time(before 1949,1950-1979,1980-2018).The function and influence of archaeological activities in Shiyang River basin were discussed.In the first stage,The main investigation activities were made by Anderson,the Northwest Scientific Survey Group and the Northwest Geological Survey team were.Archaeological methods and theories began to be applied to archaeological activities.The gradual improvement of excavation techniques,advances in stratigraphy and progress of typology laid the foundation for archaeological work in Shiyang River basin.In the second stage,the field investigation and archaeological excavations in Shiyang River basin are mainly undertaken by Gansu Provincial Cultural Control Commission and Gansu Museum Antiquities Task Force.The number of archaeological activities increased significantly and was organized by professional archaeological teams.At the same time,along with the national infrastructure construction,professional archaeological teams found a lot of relics units,greatly enriched the Shiyang River basin cultural relics and archaeology resources and material.The third stage of large-scale excavations has been basically concluded,cultural relics survey and extensive investigation activities,together with some scattered archaeological discoveries,in this way the archaeological area has covered the entire Shiyang River basin.At the same time,a large number of research works and papers emerged in academia,together with the application of modern science and technology,which actively promoted the further development of archaeological activities in Shiyang River Basin.In the past hundred years,many historical and cultural relics have been discovered in archaeological activities in Shiyang River Basin.The unearthed bamboo slips are helpful to the correct understanding of the system of respecting the elderly and providing for the aged in the Han Dynasty.The discovery of Tuyuhun family tomb and Uighur tomb and epitaph complements the history of ethnic minorities such as Tuyuhun and Uighur,which are not recorded in the historical records.The discovery of Xixia tablet and the remains of Xixia period promoted the birth and development of Xixia study.The concept of Liangzhou model highlights the style characteristics of the early grottoes in Hexi area,which provides the basis for the determination of the artistic model of Chinese grottoes,and then the "Pingchengmodel","Longmen model" and "Changan model"."Yecheng Model" and other different places The concept of regional image model provides a precedent.In addition,many historical relics found in archaeological activities provide valuable materials for the study of coin history,papermaking technology,pen making technology and the development of medicine in Han Dynasty.The discovery of a large number of prehistoric relics in the basin has helped to solve the problems of the distribution scope,regional characteristics and development origin of prehistoric culture in Gansu Province.
