An Analysis Of Habermas' Theory Of Life World

In a comprehensive view of Habermas' whole ideological system,we find that throughout its theoretical system,the rationalization of communication rationality and the living world are all the time.On the basis of the dual social structure of life world and system,he put forward his own unique views on the reality,rationality and Modernity of Western society.But this paper intends to exclude the social criticism tradition of this theory,and emphasizes the inherent logic of the whole theoretical system is the diligent pursuit of the way of human liberation.Based on the background of globalization of universal communication,this paper tries to find out the purpose of "liberation" hidden in the background of Habermas' life world system.The first part of the thesis examines the reason that why Habermas' theory turned to the "life world".In terms of the whole theoretical background,in the modern social rationality instead of faith as the source of value,scientific rationality has gradually risen to a new standard of rationality above all else.This brings unprecedented impact on the traditional metaphysical concept of transcendental rationality.In terms of reality,the rapid development of scientific rationality has brought great productivity to the society and liberated people from the enslavement of nature.On the other hand into social forces of oppression,suffering and disaster people suffered the alienation of human nature.Reason has not become the power of liberation,but a power to suppress human freedom.Under the intervention of the state,scientific and technological rationality has brought vigorous vitality to capitalism,thus challenging Marx's theory of social emancipation.This provides an opportunity for Habermas to turn his theory into a "life world".The second part mainly analyzes the threestructures of Habermas' living world,and the development process of the life world theory and the suppression of the living world by the system.This part also expounds Habermas' rational approach to the rationalization of life world.The third part affirms the value of Habermas' life world theory from three aspects: "expanding the diagnostic path of modernity","reconciling the conflict between metaphysics and anti metaphysics" and "enriching the way of human liberation".At the same time,it also analyzes the limitations of Habermas' life world theory.The conclusion is that Habermas' social ideal enlightens us,but because he ignores the realistic material basis of social liberation,he can only flow into fantasy.On the contrary,Marx's idea of realizing social liberation through political emancipation and then realizing communism of human liberation is the road to reality.
