A Study On The Artistic Features & Singing Characteristics Of Memory In The Musical Drama Cat

Musical Drama is a stage form of expression that integrates singing,dancing and plot.With its pleasant melody,it attracts moving plots and rhythmic dancing gestures,and wins itself an invaluable position in music performance.Cat,Broadway classic musical drama,created by Weber,is an enduring show,and its theme song Memory is one of the representative works of perfect interpretation of Bel Canto and pop music.Memory,as Cat's theme song,is widely spread the world over.This paper analyses the emotional expression and vocal music singing of Memory,hoping to grasp the vocal singing style of Broadway musicals more accurately from a theoretical point of view on the aria-based research of Memory,which,in the meantime,can render my personal performance more subtle on the side of music opera singing and enrich the emotional color of music understanding in the future.At present,most of the theoretical studies on Cat at home and abroad focus on the singing methods and artistic characteristics.The emotional analysis of the theme song "Memory" is still lacking.I will expects to make some efforts to the study of "Memory".
