A Study On Li Wen And His Poetry

Li Wen was an important poet of the Yunjian School in the late Ming Dynasty.He was also a major member of Ji Association and Fu Association.In his early years,he studied the Former and latter seven poets,and advocated Retro literary with Chen Zilong,Xia Yunyi and others in Songjiang area.At that time,Li Wen is famous for his literary talent and integrity.However,he surrendered to the Qing government after the Jiashen Incident.He indulged in feelings of self-blame all day and finally died of depression.Although Li Wen only lived 41 years old,his literary creation is fruitful.His poetry and articlies have been collected in the Liao Zhai Ji.This paper consists of seven parts: the introduction introduces the reason and significance of the topic,the present research status of Li Wen is also simply sorted out and summarized,and reflects on the problems existing in the research.The first chapter introduces Li Wen's family background,life experience and creation profile.Investigating li Wen's life experience by stages,involves the literary activities and Imperial examination in Songjiang area,as well as his life transition after the Jiashen Incident.The second chapter introduces the companionship between Li Wen and his friends.From two aspects: the communication of Li Wen with Yujian friends and literary celebrities.Among them,the change of Li Wen's social circle after the Jiashen Incident deserves attention.The third chapter is a summary of Li Wen's poetic thought.According to Li Wen's related discussions and creative practice,his poetics are summarized into three points: return to the elegant tradition and learn from the Former and latter seven;the poetry comes from circumstance and the circumstance reflects emotion;poetry needs both momentum and anima.The fourth chapter according to the thought of Li Wen's poetry,his poems can be divided into three categories: the aspirational works,the realistic works and the guilty works.Furthermore,combine with specific works to discuss and grasp Li Wen's mental journey from the talented scholar to be disloyal person.The fifth chapter is a summary of the artistic features of Li Wen's poems.Analyze and discuss from the perspectives of poetry style,creative form and artistic technique.Ultimately,the conclusion section summarize the literary status and significance of Li Wen in the late Ming Dynasty.
