The Chinese Mother Goose Rhymes is the first collection of Beijing's modern ballads translated abroad in China.It occupies a place in the translated classics of Chinese literature.It has also been praised by literary experts including Zuoren Zhou,Hui Chang and others.This study is an English translation published in 1900 by American Fleming H.Revell Company and translated by Chinese missionary Isaac Taylor Headland.Since the late 1980s and early 1990s,western translation studies has begun to turn to culture in an all-round way,and finally completed the cultural turn of contemporary translation studies in the late 1990s,jumping out of the question of how to convert two languages for thousands of years.Creative treason is precisely from the perspective of literary sociology to add consideration and examination to the cultural aspectsof translation,creating a new space for the study of comparative literature translatology.Translatology has begun to pay attention to the process and purpose of translation as a cross-cultural communication activity.It is no longer limited to the right or wrong of the text itself,but focuses on the cultural identity of the translator,the manipulators and recipients of translation activities,etc.This paper takes the English version of The Chinese Mother Goose Rhymes as the research object.Firstly,it analyzes the concrete manifestation of creative treason in the translation of the works.Secondly,it analyzes the influence of creative treason.Finally,it focuses on discussing the influencing factors and internal laws of the translator' s creative treason fron the perspectives of translatology and cult ural translation,and puts forward some suggestions for the reasonable mode of the translator in the English translation of Chinese folk songs,in order to help the excellent national culture of our country to go out.This article mainly includes introduction,text,conclusion,reference and appendix.The introduction part includes the purpose and significance of the research,the review of the research status zat home and abroad,the research objects and research methods.By sorting out the research data of previous scholars,we can ensure the correct theoretical results.At the same time,it arranges the research thoughts and thread of the research to provide a precise and clear framework for the thesis.The text is divided into three parts.Part I:Chapter II introduces the cultural turn from the perspective of translatology from a theoretical perspective,and specifically analyzes the expressions of creative treason such as personalized translation,mistranslation,abridgement and compilation in the English version of The Chinese Mother Goose Rhymes.Part II:Chapter III analyzes the influence of creative treason and the hidden cultural conflicts and cultural psychology in the English translation of The Chinese Mother Goose Rhymes.Part III:Chapter IV discusses the causes and influencing factors of translator's creative treason,and puts forward some humble opinions on how to choose a reasonable translator mode in the English translation of ballads in China.The conclusion summarizes the research contents and conclusions of this paper,which provides some references for the selection of reasonable modes for translators in the English translation of ballads.However,due to the limited level of knowledge,the paper has some deficiencies and omissions.
