Since entering the 21 st century,the rapid development of science and technology has improved teaching quality than previous time.Smart classroom teaching model presents the characteristics of new times.The digital learning environment constantly changes in practice in order to make teaching more suitable for social development.This can provide the practical environment for English teaching.English reading is an important language activity in contemporary society,and its research on reading has not stopped.Although,teachers invested a lot of effort to cultivate students‘ ability in reading,the results were not as good as they expected.Through analyzing the current situation of reading,it can be found that the process of teaching reform is relatively slow.It still hasn‘t changed the traditional classroom teaching model what is based on the teacher-centered and knowledge-centered.As described,smart classroom teaching model is the production of information technology and cultural collision,which can create an comfortable learning environments through applying the internet?clock dick and big data.Meantime,it emphasizes that the mutual cooperation between teachers and students can inspire students' potentiality.The internet times require students not only to learn English skills but also to develop the innovative thinking in order to keep up with the development of society.Therefore,it is necessary to research the design of English reading activities under the smart classroom teaching model.This research takes the smart classroom teaching model as the main research object,and is on the basis of the Constructivism theory,the Humanistic theory and the Multiple intelligence theory.The aim is to research the effect of the smart classroom teaching model in junior middle school English reading teaching.To achieve this,this research sets the following two research questions:1.What is the impact of the classroom teaching model on students' motivations and attitudes?2.What is the effect of the smart classroom teaching model on the students' English reading ability and reading scores?This research selects two classes and108 students are selected as research subjects lasted a semester in junior high school.Then,the author divides two classes into the experimental class and the control class.Experimental class uses the smart classroom teaching model and control class uses the traditional classroom teaching model.This paper adopts questionnaire,interview and test and uses SPSS21.0 statistics to analyze collected materials during the experiment.After applying the smart classroom teaching model to experimental class,it can be found that students‘ attitude?motivation and method towards English reading have changed obviously in experimental class.Based on the development of information times,students use E-schoolbag?computer panel to improve English reading learning,which makes them have a strong interest in English.As a result,students‘ attitudes are more positive and the motivations are clear,too.Meantime,this method can improve students' English scores and reading ability in class teaching.Finally,the implications are that the smart classroom teaching model can solve the problems of passive learning?cultivate students‘ independence and improve students‘ abilities in English teaching.In the meantime,teachers should create real language atmosphere for students in the practice of English teaching.When designing tasks,it is necessary for teachers to consider students‘ real level in order to help them achieve the teaching objectives of language use.
