There is such a painter,"chance coincidence" and figure painting,this "fate" let him occupy a position in the new Chinese art circle.He is good at ink figure painting,based on Chinese tradition,absorbs the essence of traditional culture,and provides rich nutritional basis for modern artistic creation.His original linear body structure sketch method provides a new teaching method for the cause of art education in New China,and also points out the direction for the development of Chinese figure painting.He is Fang Zengxian,the founder of the New Zhejiang School.He was an artist who responded positively to the call of the country in the 1950 s and served workers,peasants and soldiers.He made his mark in the art circle with a piece of Hard Work for Every Grain.Fang Zengxian's painting road has been practicing for "seeking change",and every change is a kind of progress.This paper attempts to elaborate from four aspects:The first part is to introduce Fang Zengxian's social background and the impact of Zhejiang's humanistic environment.Understanding the social background is helpful to understand the artist's artistic thought and his response to society.On the other hand,Pan Tianshou,a master of Zhejiang School,emphasizes the influence of traditional thought on Fang Zengxian.The second part is a brief analysis of the change of painting language style of Zengxian.It introduces the factors of the change of painting style in each period.Modeling language changes from realism to image to final freehand brushwork.Different subjects use different techniques.The change of each period is an innovation.The third part is to analyze Fang Zengxian's changes in his later years.In his later years,Fang Zeng first actively strived for change,based on tradition,reduced the use of ink accumulation,and strengthened the important role of "lines".The fourth part is the Enlightenment of Fang Zengxian's figure painting to contemporary art creation.Based on tradition,we should also focus on the future.The emphasis is on the second part of the summary and the third part of the analysis,a dialectical view of each artist's creative development process,ink and pen with the times.Fang Zengxian's reference and application of tradition and his later works' return to single-line creation are all progress in artistic thought.For today's people,works are symbolic image symbols of painters,and belong to the indelible memory of an era.It is these "memories" that enable us to reflect more clearly on the past,base ourselves on reality and look forward to the future.
