The Studyon Funeral Culture In Koguryo

In 37 BC the king named DongmingshengwangZouMouestablished the Koguryo regime,,The Tang Dynasty and SillaannihilatedKoguryo,in 668AD,Koguryo existed for 705 years.In the long course of history,Koguryo with its unique national culture has left an indelible mark on the historical picture.The demise of the Koguryo regime did not mean the disappearance of its culture.On the contrary,Koguryo left precious wealth for the northeast land,and its funeral culture left a touch of mystery.Funeral is an objective social phenomenon,which is controlled by people' s ideas and itbelongs to the scope of folk culture and national customs.Funeral custom refers to a kind of folk custom and gradually formed by different ethnic groups after a long period of development and evolution in their funeral process.As an important social custom and culture,Koguryo funeral is the method and etiquette for the disposal of dead bodies by the peopleof Koguryo.This paper will make a comprehensive use of historical philology and archaeological research methods,comprehensive and multi-angle study of KoguryoFuneral Customs and ceremonies.In particular,based on the records of KoguryoFuneral Customs in literature,and supplemented by archaeological findings such as KoguryoTomb Murals,the Funeral Customs and ceremonies of Koguryo are revealed.The final purpose of this paper is reveal the correlative elements of KoguryoFuneral Customs and rituals through the precious historical records and archaeological investigation results,and then to discuss the posthumous concept of the Koguryo people.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly summarizes the purpose and significance of the topic,the research status of KoguryoFuneral Customs and ceremonies by domestic and foreign scholars,as well as the research methods and innovations.Chapter two,three and four are the parts of this thesis.The second chapter mainly summarizes the relevant records of KoguryoFuneral Customs in ancient literature,analyzes and summarizes various funeral forms in Koguryo,including mortuary mourning,funeral,cremation,and funeral with martyr.The third chapter starts with the historical records of KoguryoFuneral Rites and the image data of ancient tomb frescoes to further explore the funeral rites of Koguryo,which are mainly divided into funeral rites and funeral rites.The fourth chapter mainly explores the post-mortem view of the Koguryo people from three aspects:historical records,burial customs and ancient tomb murals.The last part is the conclusion of the content and views of the topic of induction and improvement.The funeral customs of Koguryo are an important part of the social customs of Koguryo.The Funeral Customs reflect the spiritual culture of the Koguryo nation.Through the study of the funeral customs of Koguryo,we can have a more comprehensive understanding of the social situation at that time.
