As the growth of Chinese Language and online education,Chinese as the second language learning(CSL)is presenting a trend to children and online learning.When teaching a foreign child Chinese online,there are many unsolved problems need to be dealt with.One of the urgent situation is:because Chinese is originated from pictography,which is different with alphabetic language like English and French,student are usu-ally taught character with Pinyin which helps mark out the pronunciation of Chinese phoneme.Nevertheless,teaching practices reveal that the way of presenting PinYin does impact on foreign children's Chinese learning,especially the character decod-ing and language comprehension.For example,the 1-on-1 online Chinese teaching platform Lingo Bus has found that:with the presence of Pinyin,students easily pay more attention on Pinyin instead of Characters,and moreover,students prefer to read Pin Yin with their mother tongue s spelling and pronounce rules which has caused the native language transfer.The way of presenting Pinyin does much impact on Chinese as the second lan-guage learning.This thesis will focus in the impact of the presenting of Pinyin on character decoding and linguistic comprehension by the practice and theory study.First of all,literature review has been studied to search,compare,summerize and analyze the current studies:(1)The Simple View of Reading holds that reading is the combination fruit of Decoding and Linguistics comprehension,which interplay and stimulate each other.If any aspect failed,the reading unsuccessness happened.(2)A series of studies about the presemce of pinyin are focused on Chinese primary students that have found that under different supportive degree classes,the way of presenting Pinyin does different impact on student's character recognition,reading acquire and study motivation.(3)A number of researches and experiments on HongKong high school students found that the order and prensting time influence the studens'character recognition.(4)Studies on foreign adult-students shows that the presence of Pinyin disturbs students'Chinese character learning.And then,considering of above studies,the Teaching Reform on the presenting of Pinyin on Lingo Bus's online classroom was chosen for researching:Lingo Bus provides 2 kinds of classroom that textbook with Pinyin and textbook without pinyin.According to SVR theory,an experiment has been designed to verify the practica-bility of this teaching reform.The experiment includes 4 parts:matching picture from characters,matching character from pictures,naming character from single character without any hints,and the colloquial test.The experiment is carried on one-by-one by the test teachers after the students' first 5 units' learning.After the pro-cessing experiment result,the ANOVA and T-test were adopted to analyze the im-pact and variance of the presence of Pinyin to the Chinese learning between the class with and without Pinyin.At the end,based on the date analysis,it is found that?under the supportive class circumstance Textbook without Pinyin Group performed better than Text with Pinyin Group;?The textbook with Pinyin group performed better than the text-book without Pinyin Group;?In general,according to the SVR result,the text without Pinyin group performed better than the text with Pinyin Group under the supportive online class.The reform of Lingo Bus is practicable.The possible reasons may be that on the textbook without Pinyin class,the only reliable hint for student is the morpheme of characters which excluded the disturb of Pinyin,so that more recognition resource were implemented on the character decod-ing.On the textbook with Pinyin class,the pinyin and online multi-media provide rich hints of pronunciation,which help the student to memorize and activate pho-neme.For a long run,the children are under a phonological period that children are very easily to capture and recognize phoneme.Moreover,owing that the online 1-on-1 class can provide rich phonetical hints,the phonetic activation is more easier to happen.Hence,the children can exert more recognition resource on characters under the text without Pinyin class.
