Exploring The New Narrative Of Group Image In Character Documentary Film

Storytelling is the way and significance of the existence of film and television works,different creators will adopt different narrative methods.There are different narrative methods between feature films and documentaries with the same narrative purpose.In feature films,the narrative style of documentaries is slightly flat.This paper tries to find out more possibilities of group image narration in documentaries by comparing and analyzing the existing group image films and group image documentaries and combining with the creative practice of group image documentaries.Through different shooting objects,the change of space is increased,and the "shooting time" and "the time of this article" of the documentary are compressed and deformed respectively.At the same time,drawing lessons from the narrative method of the feature film and adopting the narrative method of juxtaposition of multiple clues,the multiple characters and multiple stories are crossed and mixed,so that the characters and stories can be effectively aggregated.In addition,we try to connect shot sequences in a way other than causal logic,and use juxtaposition,contrast,jump and central sentences to connect shot sequences.Finally,the perspective of internal and external focus is combined to better serve the theme of the film.
