A Study On The Narrative Structure Of The Group Portrait Documentary "The Voice Of The Heart"

As one of the types of documentary film creation,the group image documentary focuses on expressing the thoughts and emotions of a particular group of people on the basis of recording the real life status of the characters and portraying the characters.It has the role of exploring social and human phenomena.It is an indispensable step to design the narrative structure in the process of documentary creation.The narrative structure is the embodiment of documentary content expression and framework construction.Different narrative structures have different influence on the expression of documentary.Therefore,in the process of creating a documentary,the choice and expression of the narrative structure is very important.The group image documentary,which is also one of the types of documentary film creation,also needs to express the narrative effect of the documentary through different narrative structures.Based on the self-made group portrait character documentary Heart Voice,this paper uses multi-linear parallel narrative structure to record the five groups of protagonists at different ages,different social roles and different mentalities.It tells about the attitude and choice of this group in pursuit of their dream life path,and records their understanding and perception of this work.Show their real life and emotional world.Through the complete record of five types of protagonists’working process and interviews and a series of events,combined with the narrative structure theory of documentaries,the narrative structure of group portrait character documentaries is carefully studied and analyzed.The first part of the article is an introduction,which gives a brief introduction to the works,explains the research background,contents and methods of the works,and analyses and compares the relevant documents and documentaries.The second part is an overview of the narrative structure of group-image documentaries,including the overview of group-image documentaries,the narrative structure and the analysis of the narrative structure of representative works of group-image documentaries.The third part includes the choice,application and meaning expression of the narrative structure of documentary film.The fourth part is a comparison of the author’s documentary creation practice process to elaborate.Finally,the summary part summarizes the current situation of Hengdian mass actors,and appeals to people from all walks of life to pay attention to this group and give them the most basic protection of their interests.
