This paper takes Wang Guowei's Review of A Dream In Red Mansions as the research object,takes Wang Guowei's early philosophy and aesthetics as the research background,and tries to explore the theoretical source,ideological connotation and theoretical significance of the Review of A Dream In Red Mansions.Wang Guowei mentioned in the Review of A Dream In Red Mansions that the "spirit" of A Dream In Red Mansions is liberation.Therefore,this paper also runs through the full text with"liberation",showing the internal logic and connotation of the Review of A Dream In Red Mansions.In the introduction,this paper makes a background introduction to Wang Guowei's books,reveals the characteristics of his times and his own destiny,and the resulting complex,changeable and original academic course.The chapter of"theoretical Source" introduces the absorption and transformation of Schopenhauer's philosophy of will,Taoist body philosophy and Buddhist liberation philosophy in Review of A Dream In Red Mansions.In the chapter of philosophy of Life,this paper introduces the philosophy of life of "body-desire-pain-relief' embodied in the Review of A Dream In Red Mansions,and explains the two ways of "liberation","art" and"abstinence".The Chapter of Literary Aesthetics This paper introduces Wang Guowei's aesthetic attitude of "non-utilitarianism",distinguishes three important aesthetic concepts:"beauty","grandeur" and "glare",and explains the concept of"tragedy" as the highest type of art.The chapter of Hongxue is a supplement to the chapter of Literary Aesthetics,which introduces the research methods and research paradigm established by the Review of A Dream In Red Mansions for later generations of Hongxue Research.Finally,in the conclusion,this paper reveals the important position of Wang Guowei in the history of modern Chinese academic thought and the history of the gradual development of western learning from two aspects of philosophy and aesthetics.
