Research On The Design Of Healing Adult Picture Books

With the economic development and social progress,people have entered the life situation with fast pace and high pressure.A rich material life gives people more time to fulfill their spiritual demands,build their own healthy and rich spiritual world and alleviate the pressure and negative emotions in real life,having the complete relaxation of the body.The importance of physical and mental problems and the pursuit of self-rated mental health determine that the whole society’s demand for healing is rising.This subject combines visual communication design and psychological counseling,two related disciplines-pragmatics,to study the healing effect of adult picture books.From the perspective of visual information(graphics,text,color),it analyses how picture books comfort emotions and heal the spirits of people.At the beginning of the paper,the author defines the concept of " adult picture books for healing" from the perspective of psychology and art therapy,narrates its emergence and development and distinguishes adult picture books from picture books.Comparing adult picture books with other illustrated books for healing,a more specific definition of " adult picture books for healing" is given.Next,starting from the subject knowledge of psychological counselling,this paper analyses the healing principles of adult picture books and combines excellent cases to analyze from four aspects: the healing power of picture books illustration,the healing effect of story content,the emotional resonance of picture-text ensemble and the rich experience of interactive models of reading.Through the questionnaire survey,questionnaires were conducted on the needs of the target population aged 18-50 and the results were obtained.Stress sources of different groups were analyzed,as well as the acceptable ways of healing and the psychological feelings they wanted to get through healing.Mental problems faced by people are generally divided into three emotional problems: anxiety,depression and fear.Combining with the results of the questionnaire survey,this paper analyses the visual information from four aspects: color,line,texture and composition and sums up what kind of visual information can effectively alleviate people’s negative emotions in view of the three emotional problems.Finally,on the basis of the theoretical research and investigation and analysis of the paper,I will creat my own graduation work.This paper makes an exploratory research on the design of adult picture books for healing.The research results hope to make up for the insufficiency of consumers’ demand for picture books and have a subsidiary role in a series of counseling work of psychological counselors.It has become a kind of sandplay in psychological counseling,providing some reference for more researchers.
