The Artistic Characteristics Of The Symphonic Poem "L'Apprenti Sorcier"

French composer Paul Duka is one of the outstanding representatives of Impressionist music,and together with Debussy and Ravel laid down the impressionist unique creative ideas,techniques and styles.However,his works are few.The disciple of “The Sorcerer's Apprentice” is one of the classical works with impressionist style,pursuing the hazy color of music and affecting a wide range of classical works.In terms of perfecting and enriching the theory and practice of Impressionist music,this paper probes into the creative form of this work at different levels,and the innovative analysis of its form of expression is of great significance.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which introduces the pre-research situation of the thesis,including the significance of the topic,the current research situation and research methods,and briefly introduces the background of composers and works.The second chapter focuses on the musical analysis of the works,including the musical analysis of the whole symphony poem,the interpretation of the theme,the characteristics of composing techniques and so on,among which,the symphony poetry based on the scherzo genre how to shape the character of the multi-theme music.The more free musical structure,the character image and character change,the theme running through the narrative plot unfolding technique and so on music characteristic;The special application of impressionist hazy color in technique,character shaping,theme deformation,situation polysemy and so on,can be regarded as a model of impressionist music in narrative symphony poetry genre.It expands the hazy narrative style of Debussy symphony poems(such as "the Sea","the Pastoral God in the afternoon")and so on.The third chapter focuses on the analysis of music scene,connecting music with impressionist painting and poetry from the point of view of artistic conception,revealing the development context of story plot created by music,and expounding the relationship between music theme and scene separately.It embodies the characteristics of the combination of sound,painting and poetry.The fourth chapter explores and ponders from the angle of the combination of symphony and multimedia.According to Disney successful adaptation into the musical animation film(the fourth act in the Twelve acts of Fantasia),it gets more widespread dissemination.This paper expounds the feasibility of the mutual fusion of multimedia and music,compares the influence on music itself in the symbiosis and mutual fusion of the two artistic forms,and discusses the aesthetic significance contained in the works from the aspects of sound structure and practical functions.The fifth chapter is the conclusion,from the creative significance of the works,the practice of narrative and situational music of Impressionism,the integration and development of Impressionist music and multimedia,summarizes the artistic characteristics of this paper.In order to provide a reference for the sustainable study of future generations to deepen the road.
