A Study On Rainbow Chamber Singers

The thesis takes the Rainbow Chamber Singers,the more dynamic and influential choir in China as the study object.Through the use of interviews,questionnaires and other methods to explore the concept,background and motivation of the study object,and by way of synthesis and summary,it suggests possible development trends of the choir,and discusses the contemporary social significance of the choir and the inspiration for chorus creation.The thesis consists of four chapters: The first chapter introduces the musical and culture background behind the establishment of Rainbow Chamber Singers.Through the investigation and observation of contemporary Chinese chorus culture and Shanghai chorus,the reasons behind the formation of the Rainbow Chamber Singers are analyzed.The second chapter analyzes important composition of the Rainbow Chamber Singers through the detailed introduction of the choir and its art director,and analyzes the operation mechanisms of the choir such as singer selection,training and assessment to further present the reasons for its survival.The third chapter collects the performances of the Rainbow Chamber Singers from 2011 to 2019,and divides them into three stages.It analyzes the types,styles and difficulty of the works involved in the selection of the songs by the conductor.The fourth chapter is the acoustic analysis of the representative chorus works of the original songs of Rainbow Chamber Singers,and explores the characteristics of its original songs from the perspective of music itself.In summary,the thesis analyzes the background,composition and operation mechanism of the Rainbow Chamber Singers,as well as its performances from 2011 to 2019,and representative chorus works of the original songs.Through the analysis,it gives a full and objective account of why the Rainbow Chamber Singers is loved by the public and reflects the multi-dimensional nature of the choir,its influence on the society and inspirations for future generations.
