after thousands of years of development and innovation,contemporary gongshu flower and bird paintings have formed a rich theoretical system in subjects,artistic conception,techniques,etc..The aesthetic concepts,painting theories,and philosophical discussions brought about by them are all hot topics.At the same time,it also reflects that although the paintings of the brush and birds have different characteristics of the times in different eras,they are still full of Chinese cultural heritage,and they draw nutrition from this environment and continue to evolve.The development of contemporary brushwork flower and bird painting is as special as history books.It inherits the spiritual and cultural connotation of its predecessors and is also the inheritance of contemporary and future art.This paper expounds the view of "the painter's East and West shadow" from the eight mountain people who are good at freehand painting,and their ideas and concepts adapt to the changes of the times and the innovative development of painting.Through the study and elaboration of the origin of the concept of "the painter's East and West shadow" and the joint discussion of the aesthetic ideas that have a connection with it in the history of Chinese art,the author analyzes the spiritual connotation of literary painters and the existence of "the painter's East and West shadow" through the use of works.connection.In addition,through the analysis of some of the works of the Eight Mountain People who proposed the "Painter's East and West Shadow",the connection between their thoughts and works is explored,and it is further explained that although the eight major achievements in painting accomplishments are freehand paintings,This concept theory,It is also feasible to apply it to the entire Chinese painting system.It is not only limited to brush paintings.Based on this idea,this paper analyzes what is present in contemporary paintings,that is,what features of contemporary paintings are presented in contemporary paintings.The author classifies the works with different themes,thoughts and feelings,and lists different painter works to discuss the inevitable connection between the mood of the painter and the presentation of the work,further indicating that the work presents the "shadow" of the painter.There is an insurmountable artistic thinking between the non-representation of things.The analysis of works with different themes shows that contemporary brush paintings in today's open environment,the painter draws nutrition and knowledge in this environment,and then creates a variety of works,showing the different thinking and positive forward development of the current people.Like stars shining at night.Then to explore how to paint,that is,to use the inheritance and innovation of techniques as a bridge to achieve the purpose of fully conveying the mood of the painter.The progress of the times and the accumulation of previous experience have enabled contemporary painters to stand on the shoulders of giants to learn.But the contemporary people's thoughts and the unique cultural connotation of China are the important cornerstones for the painters to present different thoughts and convey the "shadow" picture of the painter.In such a large environment,the artist can create works that are closer to the state of mind sought.The shadow world pursued is the vigorous development of contemporary brush and bird painting in Chinese culture.It is also a concrete guide to the artistic literacy of the present generation and the audience who are learning to paint.In addition,the works of contemporary brush painters are enumerated for analysis and the inheritance and innovation of their expression techniques are explored.Among them,the relationship between the expression style of Subaijun and Moxiaosong's works and their mood and the innovation of painting techniques are emphasized.Theoretical connection with practice,the author after an in-depth study of the "painting of the East and the West" concept of the eight mountains people,and the exploration of the contemporary environment of the pen,flower and bird,have benefited from the deep,trying to present in their own works "the painter of the East and West shadow" unique charm.
