With the progress of China and the spread of Chinese in the world,many people come to China to study Chinese or at their countries at foreign universities or Confucius Institutes.Therefore,many learners have written many papers on Chinese education,and there are quite a few researches on punctuation marks.But within the process of study and research,I found that both foreign students and even Chinese people have deviation in the use of punctuation marks.Therefore,this paper will explore the use of punctuation marks.Based on the investigation and error analysis of the use of Chinese punctuation marks in Chinese,this paper first analyzes the history of the development of Chinese and Arabic punctuation marks in order to help readers gain a preliminary understanding of the Chinese punctuation marks and the Chinese punctuation marks used by the Sudanese students of middle and advanced levels in learning Chinese,Secondly,by comparing the punctuation marks of Chinese and Arabic,and by means of the questionnaires and interviews with Sudanese students,the author collects some examples of the use of punctuation marks in the process of Chinese writing by Sudanese students,Finally,according to the investigation,we choose the appropriate teaching method,in order to help the future Arabic native speakers in the process of learning Chinese punctuation marks.This paper uses two research methods: First,questionnaire survey method and Collection of Information.The author analyses the problems of the Sudanese students in using Chinese punctuation marks completely,this paper makes a detailed study of the errors in the writing form,the writing format and the functional errors,and sums up the errors of the Sudanese students in using the Chinese punctuation marks.And make a detailed analysis and examples to find out the cause of the error,and combine the existing research results with the author’s experience in the learning process to design some teaching suggestions.This paper aims to improve the punctuation of Chinese as a second language,especially for Arabic-speaking students,especially Sudanese students,to find theerrors and to analyze the reasons for the errors and give some suggestions for the solutions to the problems in using Chinese punctuation marks in the teaching of Chinese as a second language.Hope this article is helpful to Sudanese students and all students whose mother tongue is Arabic.
