With the extensive development of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,the discussion of teaching methods of Chinese as a foreign language can be described as a hundred schools of thought contending.As an important branch of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,many scholars have put forward a lot of teaching theories on this issue,and made practical research in combination with the theory,and achieved many results.However,vocabulary mastery is still a hard bone for international students.Metaphor is a hot topic in many disciplines abroad.The cognitive function of metaphor is especially paid more and more attention.Metaphor,as a cognitive phenomenon,has a wide and profound impact on human thinking,artistic creation,and language use.Lakoff and Johnson promoted the cognitive study of metaphor through "The Metaphor we live on." The analysis of metaphorical features in language will also have important practical guiding significance for revealing the function of language in its essential features and teaching language.The author is inspired by the predecessors,in this paper to explore the teaching of Chinese as a metaphor from a metaphorical perspective.This paper is divided into five parts,of which the third chapter and the fourth chapter are the key contents of this paper.The introduction mainly introduces the reasons for choosing the topic,the research background,the research status of metaphor and the research methods.The first chapter mainly summarizes the three vocabulary teaching methods prevalent in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.The second chapter introduces the causes and functions of metaphor.In the third chapter,the author combines Modern Chinese(seventh edition)Descriptive and explanatory research methods,analysis of metaphorical vocabulary in HSK Exam Outline,Level 6,extension of word meaning of metaphorical vocabulary,change of part of speech,combination of morphemes and grammatical features of metaphorical vocabulary,metaphorical vocabulary and rhetoric The relationship between the techniques and the like is briefly explained.Thefourth chapter puts forward the ideas and teaching strategies for metaphorical vocabulary teaching.
