A Survey Of Hypocrite From The Perspective Of Confucianism

This article mainly introduces the hypocrite by analyzing Confucianism.The main point is to be alert to the limitations of real personality,while at the same time to pay attention to the arduousness of moral practice.The first part discusses the definition of Confucianism's meaning of the hypocrite.This article is developed from two dimensions: one is the interpretation of the classics.Through the analysis of the text of "The Analects of Confucius",it is known that Confucius does not clearly define the meaning of hypocrite,but it has carried out an inspiring "symbolic speech" of hypocrite.This way of expressing enlarge the interpretation space of later scholars.The second is annotation interpretation.Make use of annotation by later scholars to divide the hypocrite into two types: "haohao person" and "hypocrites".Although the expressions of the hypocrite are different,their essence is hypocrisy.The second part explores the relationship between hypocrite and Confucianism.This article starts analyzing with the theory of “The Goodness of Human Nature.” and moderateness.The relationship between the hypocrite and the “The Goodness of Human Nature” can be called a positive relationship.Confucianism fights against the hypocrite in the most fundamental theory.“The Goodness of Human Nature” determines the attitude of Confucianism to hypocrite: First,Confucianism holds a critical position on hypocrite,and secondly,judges it as a phenomenon of human deviation.In order to effectively prevent the hypocrite,Confucianism also proposed two solutions : the arrogant spirit and “returning to normal”.The relationship between hypocrite and moderateness can be called a negative relationship.In the implementation of Confucianism,it often falls into hypocrite again.The most typical is moderateness.Once the moderateness is implemented,it is often distorted as hypocrite.The third part introspect the moral education of Confucianism.Confucian moral education has some contradictory phenomena in the effect of reality: this is seeking sincerity but turning into hypocrisy,desiring to be a Jun-zi while falling into hypocrite.Confucian moral education can be divided into two aspects: one is the goal of moral education,the ultimate goal of Confucian moral education is sanctification,but the over high moral education goal is the cause of the formation of hypocrite,so it needs to be arranged between high Morality and low morality from sanctification to qualified citizens.The other is the moral cultivation methods,Confucian moral education is one type of self-education,especially focusing on self-cultivation,and taking introspection as the main methods.Its purpose is to make one's own ideas become sincerity,but also produce a drawback: Sincere arrogance.I believe that people should remain modest in the pursuit of sincerity ideals to avoid the hypocrisy...
