By 2019,China has gone through 40 years of reform and opening up,and has made remarkable achievements.Against the backdrop of ever-changing science and technology,rapid economic growth and flourishing culture,people's desire and demand for a better life are also on the rise,and qualitative changes have taken place.With the increasing prosperity of the socialist market economy with Chinese characteristics,great achievements have been made in China's urbanization.In the past 40 years,the urbanization rate has increased by 41 percentage points,more than one percentage point per year on average,but at the same time,it has also given rise to a series of urban problems,including the problem of "old city reconstruction and the maintenance of modern old buildings".Old buildings are the root of the city,but also the witness of history.Nowadays,many third-tier cities are eager to develop and lack the basic understanding of the value of old buildings and cultural relics,let alone the awareness of protection.During the demolition and reconstruction of old cities,the demolition of precious modern old buildings is regrettable.Therefore,as the creators of video art,we should use audio-visual language to record the current situation of modern old buildings,call on the government and the people to pay attention to,and arouse social resonance.The documentary “See,you Kwangchowan” takes the city of Zhanjiang as an example.From 1899 to 1945,Zhanjiang was occupied as a "concession" by the French.During this period,many local buildings incorporated French architectural elements,including administrative mansions,western churches,private houses and so on.By sorting out the historical context and using lens language to record the existence of these modern French architecture,the film hopes to deepen the audience's understanding of the value of historical relics and strengthen their proper maintenance and rational use.This paper is an interpretation of the work “See,you Kwangchowan”,which is divided into four parts.The first chapter is the relationship between graduate study and this creation,which mainly explains the relationship between this creation and the author's learning background and experience.The second chapter is the main content of the works structure and creation idea,from the topic selection and research,such as combing previous references and outline for detail,specific content on show by building on its own design on the characteristics and function of reuse,thus leads to the old building reasonable maintenance use realistic problems,cause the audience's thinking;The third chapter introduces the actual completion process of the work from the aspects of pre-shooting,post-editing and packaging design.The fourth chapter expounds the innovation and deficiency of the work.
