The Influence Of Regional Culture On Instrument Design

Before entering the era of industrialization,the traditional artifacts that our ancestors handed down had strong Chinese cultural characteristics,which shocked the later generations.With the introduction of western industrialization in China and the mass production of products,merchants ignore the cultural value behind the goods when chasing interests.Many commodities in China only pursue "fashion" in terms of external packaging and product design,which seriously lacks product connotation including enterprise culture,regional culture,Chinese culture and so on.Especially under the influence of the current "fast food culture",we only use some "superficial"words and patterns to satisfy customers' temporary desires,rather than using the intrinsic value of goods to guide customers,which results that the life span of these goods is only a few months,and the longest is one or two years.How can we design objects like our predecessors so that future generations can be amazed and spread forever? How to return to the heyday of "quality manufacturing" in big countries? These should be the direction of our generation's efforts.During my postgraduate period,I always had a puzzle: how to design the instruments with Chinese traditional characteristics in the industrial design system dominated by Europe and the United States? Later,under the guidance of my tutor,I studied the regional culture of Northeast China,then I find the answer in the impact of "venturing to northeast China" on Northeast."Venturing to northeast China" is a kind of cultural "invasion" to the native residents of Northeast China.The internal relationship of this external environmental impact is similar to the current situation of China.The only difference is that the former is passive acceptance,while the latter is active learning.Regardless of the process,the result is how we carry on the splendid Chinese culture of5000 years.I have been worried that we will be assimilated by Europe and the United States then lose ourselves eventually,which may be a false alarm.Recently,I watched Mr.Ma's video,one of the words that struck me was that "China will always have the ability to turn a foreign country into ourselves,and let foreigners think that it is ours,such as lions,erhu and so on.Through this paper and Mr.Ma's words,I understand why we can still be ourselves.In the paper writing ideas,the first chapter of this paper outlines the current situation of Shandong and Northeast China during the period of “Venturing to Northeast China”,the national policy,the difficult journey of “Venturing to Northeast China” and the economic development of Northeast China.The second chapter is the aesthetic performance under the influence of the transformation of customs in the Guandong and Northeast regions.Summarize the aesthetic performance under the influence of the mainstream culture of the inner and outer regions,and summarize the changes in the production and life after the cultural integration of the two places,paving the way for the third chapter to analyze the appliance design under the unique regional culture of the Northeast.The third chapter analyzes the design of theappliances introduced to the northeast during the period of “Venturing to Northeast China”.Firstly,according to the characteristics of traditional instruments that can represent the Central Plains,the instruments are classified according to the characteristics of traditional instruments in the Central Plains,and they are classified according to agricultural appliances,living utensils and economic production equipment.The design perspective is to analyze the changes of each traditional instrument in two different cultural backgrounds,and to seek the motivation of change.The fourth chapter of the article summarizes that the introduction of the original culture into Northeast China has played an important role in the development of the comprehensive strength of Northeast China.In terms of culture,the two cultures continue to merge and choose the good ones to follow,thus forming a unique regional culture in Northeast China.In terms of the design of the instruments,although the instruments in the Central Plains area are relatively advanced,after entering the Northeast China,they have been reformed from different angles such as materials,technology and shape based on the functions of the instruments in the Central Plains and the actual situation in the Northeast China.The general idea of the equipment transformation in Northeast China is to take the native culture of Northeast China as the root,use the original advanced technology and ideas as the purpose,better serve the people,promote social development and form the unique design style of Northeast China.
