| Writing plays a crucial role in College Entrance Examination paper.However,the current writing situation in China is not optimistic.In writing class,teachers often take the traditional teaching method.In traditional English class,teachers misunderstand the main purpose of writing teaching and ignore the perceptions and motivations of students.Students lack sufficient motivation to write.Teachers apply inappropriate teaching method to English writing classes,which directly leads to student’s inability to master and use writing skills efficiently.Nowadays,computers have become more and more popular,cooperative learning is also common in class.Therefore,the research aims to explore the role of multimedia assisted cooperative learning model in senior high school English writing learning and to address the problems in traditional teaching method,the author combines the computer and cooperative learning together.Three questions are addressed in the research.1.What perceptions do students have about cooperative learning on writing?2.What effects do multimedia technology assisted cooperative learning model have on senior high school students’ motivation toward English writing?3.To what extent does multimedia technology assisted cooperative learning model improve students’ English writing proficiency?The experiment is conducted about 18 weeks from 27 August 2018 to 10 January 2019 in Tengao senior high school in Anshan City,Liaoning Province.There are 90 participants in the research from EC and CC respectively.The research instruments include questionnaires,pre-and post-test and interviews.The results are analyzed by SPSS in the end.Research results indicate that the students have positive views about cooperative learning and the multimedia technology assisted cooperative learning is helpful to enhance the motivation of students on writing.In addition,the proficiency of students’ writing has improved.All in all,the results show that multimedia technology assisted cooperative learning is effective.In the end,pedagogical implications and suggestions are discussed,which are expected to benefit to English writing and further research. |
