In 1789,when the French revolution broke out,the European monarchy was in great danger. In order to oppose the impact of the French revolution on the feudal system and the expansion of France, the feudal monarchs in the European continent and Britain formed The Anti-French Alliance several times.Previous Anti-French Alliances, however, have ended in failure.Prussia was in a special position in the previous four Anti-French Alliances. He withdrew from the war in 1795 before the end of the first coalition, and only in 1806 did he form a fourth Anti-French Alliance with Russia and began to fight against France. From 1795 to 1805,Prussia's neutral and changeable foreign policy was the result of a combination of various reasons:such as the diversion of the Polish Problem to Prussia, the contradiction of the British economic aid to Prussia, the Prussian internal attitude towards the French foreign war and the French policy towards Prussia.Prussia's neutrality brought about many negative effects on The Anti-French Alliance, and Prussia also suffered its own consequences. The failure of the fourth Anti-French Alliance almost destroyed the Prussian kingdom.
