The Use Of White Space In Freehand Oil Painting

Blank space is an important artistic expression in traditional Chinese painting,and it contains profound cultural heritage.Since the introduction of oil paintings into China,the traditional Chinese painting concept has been constantly affecting the development of oil painting in China.With the infiltration of traditional painting concepts,Chinese oil paintings gradually have their own style and characteristics,and freehand oil painting is the product of the fusion of the two.Blank space,as part of the traditional painting concept,has had a certain impact on freehand oil painting.This topic starts with the research status of freehand oil painting,and briefly analyzes the concept and development process of freehand oil painting.It focuses on the analysis and absorption of "white space" in freehand oil painting,and summarizes the concept of white space in Chinese painting.Taking the layout,color,artistic conception and other aspects as the starting point,the typical artists and their works cases are listed,and then the use of white space in freehand oil paintings is analyzed.It aims to guide my artistic creation through the research of this subject.
