The images of characters in outlaws of the marsh are accompanied by the flourishing of woodcut illustrations in Ming and qing dynasties,and the image itself is constantly changing.Besides the text,there are numerous forms such as painting,drama,film and handicraft,etc.,which are too numerous to mention.In this paper,the scope is limited to the painting type.The evolution of images in outlaws of the marsh from "all images" and "partial images" to "embroidered images"(horseshoe disease words),and the aesthetic changes from plain to literary quality,grotesque,male,noble,lovely and so on.Different figures of water margin in different times are paid attention to by different classes and different groups.Different artists' aesthetic observation and value judgment are revealed from the selection,arrangement,modeling features,expression forms and other elements of the roles.People in each era use different forms and techniques in the reconstructed image of the characters of water margin to endow them with the corresponding spirit of The Times.Starting from the uprising of the thirty-six men of song river at the end of the northern song dynasty,this paper tries to restore the image of water margin figures in their original historical and social environment.The author carefully sorts out the cultural environment changes of the characters in the process of the writing of water margin,separates the characters of water margin from the historical dust,and tries to clarify the various marks of historical ups and downs on the characters of the water margin,so as to return to the true and profound cognitive dimension and ideological depth of the characters.This paper mainly selects the works of shui hu figures of representative painters in various historical stages before the 21 st century,and mainly analyzes the development vein and style characteristics of the figure image history of water margin from the aspects of the characteristics of ancient Chinese figure painting,the artists' thoughts and the historical background.Then,in the new consumption context of the 21 st century,the image of characters of water margin in the form of cartoon,cartoon and electronic game appears.In the new aesthetic phenomenon,the figure image of water margin presents cute,adorable,idolized,superhuman and other multiple interests,and the current mainstream of Japan,South Korea,Europe and the United States pop culture has an immeasurable impact on it.The new modeling system coincides with the aesthetic psychology and needs of young people in the new century.It also selects representative painters from neighboring countries like Japan and South Korea,as well as Mexican artist kiflopis,who has a deep connection with China,to shape the characters of outlaws of the marsh,and tries to further explore the universal value of outlaws of the marsh from the perspective of artists from other countries.To examine and enrich the expression forms of the characters of outlaws of the marsh,and to provide new ideas for interpreting the image expression of the characters of water margin.Then,it summarizes the influencing factors and development trend of the image design of characters in outlaws of the marsh,summarizes the experience of predecessors,inherits the traditional Chinese aesthetics,and traces the systematic,clear and regular track for the image shaping of characters in outlaws of the marsh in the future,so as to conduct in-depth research on physics and chemistry.Finally,the author tries to link the connotation of the characters in outlaws of the marsh with Chinese history and culture,analyze the profound atmosphere of The Times contained in the character image system,and seek for more powerful graphic support for the connotation of the characters in outlaws of the marsh.With the development of contemporary cultural industry,rich,excellent and profound traditional cultural resources like water margin need to be sorted out and recognized again in terms of image text cognition with new value judgment and new form selection,but it is not a kitsch and pandering attitude.It has resumed the modeling aesthetics of traditional figure painting,explored and narrated the deep thoughts of classical literature,and thought that the figure image of water margin will be more brilliant in the future with the style and form of deep national aesthetics.
