Creation And Acceptance:Cross-media Research On Figure Of Invincible East

Nowadays,more and more screen adaptation of novels have been created.Among these adapted figures in films and TV series,the Invincible East is an extremely special case.Originally,he was one of the negative characters in the novel Swordsman".After being adapted,this character was very popular.The character even got rid of original novel and people had a new impression of him.This thesis,by analyzing both the creators and the audience,this thesis aims to analyze the cross-media evolution of this character,and provide reference to the creators of the films and TV series.In Chapter 1,this thesis focuses on the analysis of the text.It chooses three of the most representative figures of the novel,films and TV series,while combing and summarizing the evolution and development of the cross-media figures.Invincible East evolved from the abnormal figure in the novel to the heroic hegemony of the movie,and then to the lovesick girl of the TV series.The status of character was promoted,and the gender was changed too.In Chapter 2,this thesis starts from the individualized expression of the creators,then combines their own creative preferences,background and the characteristics of the media to analyze the creation of Jin Yong,Xu Ke and Yu Zheng.Jin Yong explained the evil of human,while Xu Ke created the charm of gender and Yu Zheng bought us the popular carnival.In Chapter 3,this thesis focuses on the audience.From the perspective of accepting aesthetics,it analyzes the reasons why this character has changed and is widely accepted by the audience.Firstly,the character has a strong attraction to the audience.Secondly,the character fits the public aesthetic,which is in line with the cultural traditions of the audience,the modern neutral aesthetic and the change of visual culture.In Chapter 4,on the basis of the previous research,this thesis makes requirements for the creators and the audience from the aspects of creation and acceptance respectively.The creators should match the aesthetic expectation of the audience and inspire the passion of them,and the audience should also improve their aesthetic level,which will play a great role in recreation of the character.In conclusion,this thesis summarizes and discusses how the creators can do better in creating the characters of the screen adaptation of novels.
