Based on the study and review of E-C translation practice of Invincible written by American writer Cecily Anne Paterson,this report aims to discuss the language features of young adult literature and strategies and methods for translation difficulties in this kind of literature works,hoping to offer the use for reference to this kind of literature works.There are four chapters in the main part.In the first chapter,the general introduction of this translation project is introduced,including the source of translation task and the general idea of this novel.In the second chapter,the translation process is described,including the preparation before translation,translation process and the evaluation of translation effects.In the third chapter,the translation action is studied,including the introduction of the guided theory in translation practice,Receptional Aesthetic Theory,and the application of Receptional Aesthetic Theory in this translation practice.In the last chapter,translation cases in this translation practice are analyzed.In this part,translation cases in this young adult novel translation are analyzed in detail in the three dimensions of word,sentence and context,in order to explore how to translate the novel into Chinese language which conforms to teenagers' mental and cognitive characteristics based on Receptional Aesthetic Theory,so as to summarize the translation methods and strategies for young adult's literature works.According to the study and summary of this translation practice,not only the language features and style of young adult's literature works and the translation difficulties in this kind of literature works can be learnt,but also the perspective of Receptional Aesthetic Theory for an in-depth exploration and study on young adult literature translation can be provided to the translation circle.
