After the industrial revolution, the destruction of the natural environment became more and more serious with the rapid development of the world economy, human beings centered on their own interests, and did not hesitate to destroy the environment and trample on nature at the cost, and this typical thought of anthropocentrism is the root cause of more and more environmental problems.Marxism holds that human and nature are dialectical and unified, the deterioration of the environment, the overexploitation of natural resources and the extinction of species will in turn restrict the development of human society. The thought of anthropocentrism is more and more unable to meet the requirements of green development and ecological civilization construction in contemporary society. Therefore, since the 1970 s,researchers of environmental ethics abroad have put forward a series of new ideas and new theory that transcend anthropocentrism.Biocentrism is one of them represented by Taylor and Schweitzer, and the biocentrism of Robin Attfield is the inheritance and innovative development of other biocentrism, which is a strong representative.Attfield proposed the content of thoughts that the moral care degree of living things, the promotion of intrinsic values and benefits of living things, and the conflicting choice of saving nature and satisfying human needs.Compared with the thoughts of Taylor and Schweitzer, the characteristics of his thought are mainly reflected in the following three aspects: Individual theory, the strong maneuverability of the choice of biological interests and the expansion of animal moral care.He thinks that ecology is a unified natural system and a natural chain in which all kinds of natural elements depend on each other to realize circulation.Attfield's expansion of moral care for biology, affirming the intrinsic value of living things, giving the choice of biological interests, jumping out of anthropocentrism, and seeking harmony and unity between man and nature,to a certain extent,It is in line with the idea put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping that human beings and nature are the community of life.In practice,Attfield's expansion of biological moral scope and selection of biological interests are conducive to the protection of endangered species and promote the conservation of biodiversity. The thoughts of individualism have highlighted the intrinsic value and moral importance of living things, and it has important theoretical support for the conservation of biological diversity.Biodiversity is closely related to the stability of the earth, and diversity contributes to the stability of the community and promotes the good development of individual organisms. These ideas help to ease the antagonistic relationship between human beings and nature, and have practical significance for green development and construction of ecological civilization.
