The judgment and the experience of self are the core of self-worth. And the lasting self-worth is a relatively stable personality characteristic.Adolescence is an important period of the development of individual personality, but also an unstable period of the development of Self-worth. As the core components of self-system, self-worth does not only have an important impact on the development of the personality, but also have wide-ranging implications on the cognition, emotion, motivation and social behavior of the students. This study tries to inspect the self-worth by way of put it into the three time dimensions of past, present and future, and this study is based on the view of system. Under the cues at different times not only the features and differences of self-worth of the participants were inspected in this study, but also the relationship between the perceived temporal distance and the satisfactions to the score that the participants obtain from Last semester final exam.This study used such a scale of the common self-worth and personal self-worth, which is included in the Self-Worth Scale for Adolescents of the professor Huang Xi ting. It conducted a questionnaire survey among 1700 participants from Junior Year to High school and totally recovered 1677 questionnaires. There are 817 male and 860 female in this survey and their average age is 14.57.With different time cue, this study inspected the features and differences of the total self-worth, social common self-worth, personal self-worth. This study also inspected the satisfaction of the participants to the past examination results that how to impact on self-worth of past, present and future.Besides above, this study also inspected the effect that the satisfaction, which get from the participants who treat the score of last semester final exam, towards the self-worth of past, present and future. It also inspected the effect of the certainty, arising from the goal and ideal to the future of the participants, towards the self-worth of past, present and future.Under the conditions of this study, This study got the following main conclusions:(1) The self-worth of present was higher than the self-worth of past, but the self-worth of future was not significantly higher than the self-worth of present.(2) No matter on which dimension of time, the dimension of the common self-worth of female participants was higher than male participants.(3) The satisfaction to past examination results not only impacted the self-worth of past significantly, but also impacted the self-worth of present and future significantly.(4) The total self-worth of the participants who studied in the third-year junior high school was significantly higher than the participants who studied in the second-year junior high school.(5) This study also got a result that the satisfaction of the participants to the past examinations results did not have any correlation with the perceived temporal distance to the past examinations.(6) The certainty, arising from the goal and ideal to the future of the participants, had a very significant effect to the self-worth of past, present and future.
