The Analysis Of Abe's Conceptions Of History

Shinzo Abe is Japan's current statesman,representing Japan's Liberal Democratic Party as Japan's current cabinet prime minister.His conceptions of social history influences Japan's policy changes in many aspects of diplomacy and politics.Since taking office as Prime Minister of Japan,Abe has maintained a vague attitude towards the Prime Minister's visit to the Yasukuni Shrine,Japan's launched and involved in World War II,postwar trials,“comfort women”,and other historical issues,and has an obvious neo-conservatism on the issues left over by history.It has been strongly condemned by the international community and severely criticized by people of conscience.His conceptions of history,specially his understanding of the history about Japan's past aggression and colonization of Asian countries,to a large extent represents the cognition and attitude of the new generation of conservative politician in Japan to the history of World War II.Moreover,Abe's view of history will direct determine his own understanding of the nature of World War II and will great affect the historical perception of the ordinary Japanese people through relevant words and deeds,the formulation and implementation of internal and external policies.It even hurt the national feelings of Japan's fascist-ravaged countries and ultimately had a major impact on regional relations and regional peace.Based on the analysis of Abe's address,works and political activities,this paper concludes that Abe's conceptions of history is to negate the Tokyo trial,claimed that visiting Yasukuni Shrine is a Japanese tradition,that “comfort women” are human trafficking and persist in aggression undefined.Abe family right-wing ideology and his educational background are the main factors in the formation of Abe's historical conceptions.His conceptions on historical issues inherit the historical conceptions of his grandfather Kishi Nobusuke.After Abe stepped into politics,The overall right-leaning environment in politics has an important impact on his conceptions of history.Abe's conceptions of history has gradually matured and is characterized by obvious subjectivity,self-contradiction and otherness.The political ideology and historical conceptions of the Liberal Democratic Party are representative among the new generation of conservative politicians of the Liberal Democratic Party,and its neo-conservative practice contains the right-wing ideology of history.
