The age of the ‘seventeen-years' children's literature,as the first ‘golden age' in the history of Chinese children's literature,is a specific time period that cannot be ignored in the study of children's literature.The development and change of children's literature during this period are closely related to the changeable social and political environment.In the specific context of the times,children's literature,as a tool of ideological and political education,swayed left and right in its educational and literary nature,has undergone a series of bumpy development processes from rise to evolution.Taking literature periodicals focusing on the ‘seventeen-years' children's literature as the research object,we can touch the children's literature of that period to a certain extent.With the help of children's publications such as Children's Era,Red Scarf and Children's Literature,adult comprehensive publications People's Literature,Arts and Literature and children's literature theory research publications,we can make a concrete interpretation of the evolution of the ‘seventeen-years' children's literature.After the expansion of ‘anti-rightist' movement,taking 1957 as the main demarcation point,the rise,peak,and decline stages of the ‘seventeen-years' children's literature are clear at a glance.Specifically,it can be divided into five stages,namely,1949 to 1955,the ‘seventeen-years' children's literature were not valued,the second half of 1955 to the first half of 1957,the ‘seventeen-years' children's literature gradually rose in and reached the climax of creation,the second half of 1957 to 1960,the ‘seventeen-years' children's literature made tortuous progress and development,1961 to 1962,the development of the ‘seventeen-years' children's literature returned to warm,and 1964 to 1966,it has been severely hit and slumped.In the 1950 s,Soviet children's literature had a strong influence on Chinese children's literature,and its education-based view gradually penetrated into it,which has played a concrete guiding role for the development direction of children's literature.In addition to the influence of social and political factors and Soviet foreign culture,the development of the ‘seventeen-years' children's literature can't be separated from the promotion of periodical media.The rise of the ‘seventeen-years' children's literature is benefit from the periodical media.Editors,the actual operators of periodicals,as a behind-the-scenes pusher,play an important role in promoting the development of children's literature.The actual operator in the magazine--editor,is directly or indirectly involved in various organizational activities in a series of editing activities.Whether it is about children's literature's topics,the composition of manuscript,or the entire literary production chain linked with many elements such as children's literary writers,readers and so on,editors are the actual protagonists and veritable ‘gatekeeper'.Therefore,as a behind-the-scenes pusher,the editors maximize magazines' role as communication carriers,which greatly enhances the social influence of children's literature.On the other hand,the ‘seventeen-years' children's literature is mainly aimed at children,and its social influence is also concentrated on the education and training of the new generation of socialist successors.As for some specific children's literature,through the novels,poems,essays,etc.you can intuitively feel the main theme of the ‘seventeen-years' children's literature in the original magazines combined with their cover maps and inset pictures,such as patriotism,education,suffering,socialist industrial and agricultural construction and other themes;the key images of children are patriotic little heroes,grown naughty children and the new generations on the production line.In essence,these writings are educational and directly affect children readers as educational tools.To view the development of children's literature from the literary magazines,we can see the works all had characteristics of that time.And under the influence of the mainstream discourse of the society,a unique form of children's literature has been formed in the ‘seventeen-years'.Contacting literary magazines to explore the original form of Chinese ‘seventeen-years' children's literature has a significance for the current study of the ‘seventeen-years' children's literature.
