Study On The Funeral Writing In Modern Writers' Novels

The funeral custom is an important part of Chinese traditional culture,and it is also the object which the writers love to describe in the novel,Funeral writing in different periods has played different roles,and the funeral writing in modern writer's novels has a strong characteristics of the times.Through the study of funeral writing in modern writer's novels,we find that the writer shows a strong ambivalence in writing funeral customs.Therefore,this paper,from the perspective of ambivalent mentality,clarifies the reasons for the formation of contradictory mentality in modern writers 'funeral writing,probes into the analysis of the contradictory features in the funeral writing of modern novels,and points out the value of modern novel funeral writing.First of all,this paper analyzes the origin of the contradictory mentality in the funeral writing of modern writers 'novels,mainly from the writer's own point of view,focusing on the background of the formation of the contradictory mentality of modern writers.It holds that modern writers are mainly influenced by the May 4th Enlightenment Trend,the cultural characteristics of the funeral custom itself and the writer's individual "elite" consciousness.Secondly,through the contradictory mentality,the author analyzes the contradictory characteristics in the funeral writing of modern novels.On the one hand,this contradiction is reflected in the contradiction of the value orientation.The main performance in three aspects.In cognitive attitude,modern writers attach equal importance to the attitude of funeral rites and customs.Modern writers show both sympathy and resentment in their emotional orientation.In theaesthetic taste,modern writers also show their appreciation of tragic aesthetics and comedy aesthetics in funeral.On the other hand,it is reflected in the contradiction in the creative method.In the psychological description,modern writers lay stress on the psychological state of funerals with contradictions among the masses.In the image-building,there are two groups of images,negative and positive,opposites.In the aesthetic construction,modern writers choose the images of tragedy and joy to set off the ambivalence of aesthetic feeling in the funeral writing text.The funeral writing in the modern writer's novels reflects the contradictory mentality of the modern writer,which has its value meaning in spite of the contradiction.Firstly,through the description of the village tragedy in the funeral custom,the concern for the survival of the people under the feudal customs of the local society.Secondly,by depicting the images of "onlookers" in the funeral customs,expressed the satire of the people's inferiority.Thirdly,by describing the sincere feelings in the traditional funeral customs,it conveys the hidden worries about the emotion of the modern civilization.
