Landscape Analysis Of Characteristic Small Town And Research On The Development Of Cultural Industry New Business Type

In recent years,the characteristic towns continue to rise and boom in full swing in provinces and cities of China.The country has promulgated a series of policies to back and boost those town's advancement.Accordingly,most of provinces and cities have also issued relevant policies to direct characteristic small towns with local features.As a first-tier city in China and a central city in Southern area,Guangzhou enjoys exceptional advantages in terms of capital,talent and technology,especially in the northern mountainous area.Known as the ecological barrier of Guangzhou,those areas are feasible for developing characteristic towns with attractive ecological environment and distinctive local culture.Consequently,Guangzhou plans to build a number of small towns or villages with "distinctive industrial characteristics,strong humanistic atmosphere and beautiful ecological environment" in the northern mountain areas.Given the different planned area among small towns in the northern mountainous areas of Guangzhou,this paper decides to focus this research on the characteristic small towns which take administrative village area as the main construction body.Besides,this study further confirmed that Zengcheng Zengjiang Street Da Pu Wei characteristic small town,Huadu District Timian Town(Hongshan Village)eco-tourism town and Conghua District Lvtian Town Lianma small town shall be selected as cases to be studied,considering the representativeness of each small town,industrial development and maturity.Based on evidences gathered from field study,consulting relevant materials or having face-to-face interviews with locals,this study systematically analyze three towns' landscape features,industrial circumstance as well as their further development in terms of the combination of new business format with cultural industry.In addition,based on the overall background and development of small towns with characteristics in the northern mountainous areas,this paper spots some problems accompanying their construction,such as the lack of differences in the constructional theme,the unclear positioning of industrial development,the failure to highlight their own regional characteristics and local landscape elements,shortage in professional personnel operation for insufficient reserve talent resources,inadequate infrastructure and qualified public service,defective assessment and supervision mechanism,and so on.All those defects unveils that there are many hidden problems existed in the construction of small towns with characteristics.With respect to above-mentioned latent problems,relevant countermeasures and suggestions are putforward in this paper.For instance,those towns should,first of all,pay full attention to regional features to promote its overall landscape.Secondly,systems to manage the exchange,cooperation and cultivation of talent resources should be set up accordingly,thus boosting urban-rural communication.What's more,the government should enhance the construction of infrastructures with a higher quality of public service.Furthermore,a corresponding assessment and supervision mechanisms ought to be applied to ensure construction of small towns with characteristics proceed orderly.The main conclusions of this paper are as following:(1)The landscape features of small towns with characteristics should be built around the core of "regional characteristics",with emphasis on the key elements such as the local ecological environment,history and culture,folk custom,architectures with native feature etc.What's more,the construction of small towns with characteristic should be closely related to cultural innovation,thus avoiding homogenization of the town landscape.(2)The traditional perspective of industrial development is no longer applicable to small towns with characteristics,whose development,on the contrary,should be firmly rooted in local and more forward-looking.By combining the existing industries of small towns with key elements of new business format of cultural industry,such as creativity,Internet and so on,this paper aims to explore new ways of industrial development for small towns with characteristics,including Internet creation space,creative leisure agriculture,creative residential accommodation,characteristic recuperation industry and so on,which,on the whole,can be regarded as a new method for further industrial development.
