A Study Of The Women's Movement In Guangxi During The Great Revolution

The rise of the world women's movement has lasted for more than two hundred years.Since the end of the nineteenth century,the women's movement in modern China has developed rapidly under the influence of the western women's movement.The women's movement in modern China can be divided into the old democratic revolution stage and the new democratic stage.The old democratic revolution stage has gone through the Reform Movement of 1898 and the 1911 Revolution.The new democratic revolution stage has gone through the May 4th Movement,the Great Revolution,the Agrarian Revolution,the War of Resistance Against Japan and the War of Liberation.In the modern history of Guangxi,the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Uprising broke out and liberated women's rights to a certain extent.Although the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Movement failed,it still had a far-reaching impact on Guangxi.After the Revolution of 1911,the women's movement in Guangxi first appeared in Guilin.The organizers of the women's movement advocated bourgeois democratic revolution.Although they failed in the end,the thought of women's liberation embodied in the bourgeois women's movement has existed for a long time as a proposition of women's movement.During the Great Revolution,the organization of women's movement in Guangxi was greatly developed,which was due to the unification of the New Gui Family to Guangxi,the cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party,and the efforts of women in Guangxi to liberate themselves.The study of the women's movement in Guangxi was involved in the 1911 Revolution,the May 4th Movement,the War of Resistance Against Japan and the War of Liberation.However,previous studies neglected the period of the Great Revolution and did not have a deep understanding of the women's movement in Guangxi during this period.The women's movement in Guangxi during the Great Revolution was influenced by the cooperation between the new Guangxi system,Guangxi and the Kuomintang and the Communist Party,which made the distribution of women's movement in this period unbalanced and inadequate;the distribution of women's organizations along the Yangtze River;and the transitional characteristics.Influenced by the women's movement during the Great Revolution,women's rights in marriage,education and political participation in Guangxi were greatly improved.Women in Guangxi United during the Anti-Japanese War and made great contributions to saving the nation from extinction and survival.
