Study On The Function Of Arrowheads Unearthed From The Tombs Of The Nobles In The Eastern Zhou Dynasty

During the Eastern Zhou Dynasty,at the time of the great social change of the rituals,the various vassal states invaded each other and continued to fight,which was the theme of society at that time.In the context of such an era,the"declared warrior,the first bower",the bow of the first weapon in the war,has naturally become an important research object.First screening of currently known archaeological data.The unearthed arrowheads in the high-grade aristocratic tombs are rich in style and fully functional,covering the type functions of the lower tombs and the tombs,therefore,no longer elaborate.Only the high-grade aristocratic tombs with five tripod and above used for funeral in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty were selected,and the basic situation of the unearthed arrowheads was outlined.Conduct a typological analysis of arrowheads.Summarize the basic shape of the arrow in this period,,divided into two categories,such as two wings,three wings,three edges,and no wings,and then carry out further classification.Taking time as a clue,on the basis of the materials of the existing tombs,the arrowheads unearthed from the tombs are staged.It is mainly divided into four phases:the early and middle of Chunqiu Period,the late Chunqiu Period to the Chunqiu Period and the Warring States Period,the early Warring States Period,and the middle and late Warring States Period.Analyze and summarize the evolution of the shape of the arrowheads in each period,and explore the relationship between the changes in the way of war.By studying the unearthed position of the arrowhead in the high-level tombs and the combination of the funerary objects in the same level,the role of the arrowhead in the funeral customs is discussed.The last chapter is the functional study of arrowhead.It is mainly divided into actual combat and ritual system.The dual evidence method is used to establish the correspondence between documentary and unearthed objects.
