Research And Application Of Composition Of Pan Tianshou's Paintings

Flowers-and-birds painting is one of the three traditional paintings.It embodies the ancients' spirit of inherit the tradition and learn from nature,it could also express the author's inner thoughts,emotions and pursuits,and reflects the spirit of that era.According to records,many famous Flowers-and-birds painters appeared in the Six Dynasties.With the continuous development of history,today's Flowers-and-birds paintings have evolved into a system in various style,such as elaborate style,large freehand style,and combination of these two styles.No matter which style the painter used,the audience could always enjoy different aesthetic enjoyment from them.Among all the aesthetic factor,the most important factor is composition.The composition of Chinese painting has its own special rules and it was constantly improved in practice.This thesis focuses on the composition of Mr.Pan Tianshou's Flowers-and-birds painting,meanwhile analysed his usual creation.This thesis is divided into four parts:The first part expounds the research background and significance of Chinese painting flower and bird painting.The second part mainly analyzes the origin and rules of Chinese painting composition.The third part focuses on the research of Pan Tianshou's Flowers-and-birds painting composition,researched some specific image and overall meaning of his works.The fourth part summarizes the author's enlightenment and reflections from Pan Tianshou's painting art.
