Research On The Regional Characteristics Of The Style Of Contemporary Kazuo Purple Clay Wares

The purple clay culture in Kazuo,where purple clay's mineral resources abound,has a long and profound history with enduring accumulation,representative of the purple clay in North China.Kazuo's regional culture has exerted an essential influence on the design of modern purple clay ware,given that the craftsmen there have not only inherited the local marvelous cultural heritage,but explored the design of purple clay ware theoretically and practically,perfectly integrating the ancient craftsmanship with modern modeling art and accordingly having created the purple clay ware with Kazuo's characteristics.Although the purple clay industry in Kazuo emerged relatively late,the purple clay there could be dated back to when Hongshan Culture of China prevailed.Therefore,it boasts a long history,and researching it is quite significant.This thesis consists of five aspects.The first aspect briefly introduces the backdrops against which purple clay developed during different periods.The Second one describes the features of purple clay's mineral resources and aggregates in Kazuo as well as the workmanship of modern purple clay.The third one mainly involves how local cultural heritage makes a difference to modern purple clay ware design,analyzing how cultural relics during different periods are combined with modern purple clay ware design and from there the purple clay ware takes shape embodying local features.Furthermore,it outlines the history and style of cultural relics and explores in depth the significance and values of purple clay ware endowed with application modeling elements.The fourthly one studies those elements uniquely possessed by national culture mainly including Mongolian one that are able to play a part in Kazuo's purple clay ware design,like such modeling elements as clothes,ribbons,decorations,musical instruments,and architecture styles peculiar to Mongolian nationality.The accomplished purple clay ware has demonstrated the brilliant purple clay craftsmanship in Kazuo and carried forward the distinctive features of Mongolian nationality,surely an excellent combination of purple clay craftsmanship with national culture.The fifth one deals with the influences of purple clay from Yixing on the counterpart in Kazuo in terms of its modeling,for example,and makes a contrast between them.The purple clay in Kazuo,a symbol of purple clay culture in North China,is learning from Yixing's outstanding purple clay culture in order to create the purple clay ware design with more regional characteristics.
