The verb-resultative construction(VRC)of Chinese consists of predicate verbs and structural complements.The predicate verb indicates the action,change and so on.The result complement supplements the result of the action,mainly by the adj ective,a few by the verb.Because of its flexibility and complexity,Chinese VRC has a variety of corresponding forms with the learners' mother tongue,which has always been one of the most important and difficult points in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Based on the causal event framework in Talmy event framework theory and the linguistic typology study based on event framework,this study compares the Chinese VRC with Polish VRC,and finds that Chinese belongs to the typical satellite frame language(verb is composed of "verb + complement"),while Polish is a typical verb.On the basis of the comparison between Chinese and Polish languages,Chinese verbs are divided into two modes:mode one(the corresponding predicate verbs in Polish structure contain modal factors)and mode two(the corresponding predicate verbs in Polish structure do not contain modal factors).On this basis,using the method of experimental research,this paper conducts an experimental study on the teaching of Chinese VRC for Polish primary Chinese proficiency learners,and investigates the influence of teaching methods(teaching by word and phrase)and causal event framework on the acquisition of VRC.The experimental results show that the teaching methods have little influence on the acquisition of VRC,that is,there is no significant difference in Chinese VRC teaching at the primary stage between word-based and phrase-based teaching,while the causal event framework has a significant effect on it.The acquisition of Chinese VRC corresponds to the Polish model 1 is fairly good,and the acquisition of Chinese VRC corresponds to the Polish model 2 is fairly poor.In the teaching of Chinese VRC,especially in the primary stage,teachers should pay attention to the influence of language.Based on the above conclusions,the author puts forward some suggestions on the teaching of Chinese VRC as a foreign language.
