The theory of official nationality was the official ideology of Russia during the reign of Nicolas I,which was put forward by Sergei Uvarov,then Minister of Education.The theory mainly includes three aspects: Orthodox,Autocracy and Nationality.These three principles have exerted an important influence on the development of Russian society and history.This paper regards the background,ideological origin,content and influence of the official nationality theory as an important research goal.In order to achieve this goal,this paper will be divided into three parts: introduction,body and conclusion.The first part is the introduction of the first chapter,which mainly introduces the significance of the topic,the research status at home and abroad,research methods and writing ideas,as well as innovation and shortcomings.The second part is the text,which is also the focus of this paper.The second chapter introduces the background of the theory of official nationality,including the political situation at home and abroad at the time of Nicolas I.The third chapter mainly analyses the ideological origin and formation process of the official nationality theory.Chapter IV mainly outlines the specific connotations of the official nationality theory,including the contents of the three principles and their relations.The fifth chapter mainly discusses the impact of the theory and its evaluation.The third part is the conclusion.The conclusion part points out that the emergence of the official nationality theory strengthens the deep-rooted Russian autocratic regime.This theory is the inheritance and development of Russian tradition.Although it is based on strengthening the authority of the Czar,it has played an important role in the development of Russian nationalism.
