Research On The Application Of Fish Pattern In Accessory Design

The profound art of fish pattern had experienced inheritance of six thousand years in China.It's one of the most important expressive forms of Chinese ornamentation.Throughout the past dynasties,fish pattern has important artistic value and cultural connotations in both shape and symbolic implications.It reflects the especial Chinese cultural meaning,being an indispensable and significant part of Chinese art gallery.Accessory has become a necessary part of people's life in modern life.The choice and wearing of accessory also conveys the aesthetic taste and artistic accomplishment of the dresser.With the continuous development of fashion trend,the design content and form of apparel are more and more extensive,showing the development trend of product richness,shape novelty and material diversity.Fashion accessory with both aesthetic and practical features are becoming more and more popular and sought after by modern consumers.The design and development of apparel has become an important part of modern accessory art design.This article mainly explores the application of fish pattern in apparel design.Basing on the auspicious meaning and unique shape of fish pattern,it is applied to apparel design through modern design techniques and conceptions.The first chapter is the introduction part.It mainly elaborates on the background,purpose and significance,current situation,contents and methods,innovations and difficulties of the research.The second chapter is an overview of fish pattern.It expounds the definition,development history and the arts characteristics of fish pattern.The fish pattern of each historical period is sorted out and analyzed comprehensively,which lays a good foundation for the subsequent design practice.The third chapter is the symbolic implication of fish pattern,which summarizes the reproductive,auspicious and free symbols of fish pattern,and reflects its profound connotation through its symbolic implication.The forth chapter is an overview of apparel.It introduces the conception,origin,classification and characteristics of apparel,stating thedevelopment trend of modern apparel from three aspects: innovation of design concept,diversification of material utilization and nationalization of style.The fifth chapter is the application expression of fish pattern in modern apparel design,which is elaborated from three aspects: pattern design,color expresstion and process expresstion.The sixth chapter is the author's design practice,including three series of works: Yu Yin,Yu Ying and Yu Qing.This chapter includes design background analysis,inspiration source,target population and specific practical operation of the three series.The seventh chapter is the conclusion and envision,summarizing the harvest and enlightenment obtained through the research,as well as the deficiency of the research.The ultimate purpose of this article is to apply fish pattern to accessory design,providing a concrete and feasible design scheme for the modern application of fish pattern.I hoped that through this design practice,Chinese traditional culture will be inherited and better applied to modern life.
