The Cultural Attribute Of Fish Pattern And The Application Innovation Of Modern Pattern Design

Traditional fish pattern plays an important role in the Chinese traditional culture. It is with the help of a large number of vivid things like or form, carrying the cultural attributes of elegance and harmony, has a unique humanities connotation. These properties reflect the rich content of man and nature in the development of China’s culture, full of fun, life and social characteristics. In this master paper, the fish culture in the modern pattern design as a starting point, a comprehensive system for traditional fish patterns is discussed. If initially the fish pattern was expressed to the reproductive worship, then later fish pattern is the symbolism of life and change to a kind of ideology of subconscious level fusion in traditional culture, from some kinds of meaning, it comes from the Chinese traditional ideology and aesthetic consciousness, while reacts back to our traditional culture. First of all, in this paper the historical origin of the fish pattern design is briefly discussed, and the dual cultural attribute of the fish as the foundation, further discusses the basic form of rheology and traditional design idea. This process reflects the traditional design way of thinking in the development process of different social stages. Modern pattern design emphasizes on the decorative and artistic quality, but in the depths of the connotation still contains the desire that fish can convey the aspirations and ideals of auspicious. Fish pattern reflected by the traditional design concept is the valuable wealth which modern design can learn from. The inheritance of the traditional pattern is not the only purpose, the implications from traditional design idea seems to be the most important. Through the discussion on the traditional fish patterns and cultural property to understand our design thought of the ancient times, which can be used as important theory support to practice. This is one of the important contents of the modern design theory and design practice research which provides a good reference and enlightenment for us.
