Printed pottery is a unique art form formed by two carriers of seals and pottery.The final effect of printed pottery is also influenced by many aspects.Printed pottery is a form of expression of seals,which retains the basic features of seals,but through continuous "re-creation" it has formed a unique artistic form,which is a combination of "intentional" and "unintentional".The earliest discovery of pottery inscription was in the period of Emperor Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty.Chen Jieqi,a philosopher of Weixian,first discovered and began to study pottery inscription of the state of Qi in the late Qing Dynasty.Later,many scholars studied and interpreted the pottery inscription.The excavation scope of printed pottery of the Qi state covers the territory of Qi,mainly concentrated in Linzi and Xintai areas.The historical background and cultural environment of the country guided the development of the Qi state's printing pottery.The prosperous ceramics industry of the government and private sector roughly divided the printed pottery of the state of Qi into two types: Official Ceramic Printing and Private Ceramic PrintingThe main part of this paper is the classification and comparison of the space of the printed pottery of Qi state.The formation of the space is related to the mother seal's shape,diction,art of composition,pressing process,the degree of loss and the relationship between the virtual and the real caused by the factors of rubbing.Through the spatial analysis of Qi state's Official Ceramic Printing and Private Ceramic Printing,we can have a more comprehensive understanding of Qi state's regional aesthetics of space.Printed pottery is a unique and rich artistic form of expression.Later generations of potters used the method of taking out the printed pottery as a reference for contemporary potters.Contemporary seal carvings often ignore the interest of unadorned of pre-Qin ancient seal due to the emphasis on form.It's worth considering.
