From the angle of"Facade"of space conception developed from western building construction field, this report discussed the openness of"Facade"of space created by Chinese ancient pottery works.Plenty of Chinese antiquated pottery works was handed down to us from our ancestors, but they lacked of systematic researches in the academic aspect. Thus, this report based on Chinese social and cultural history to take a close look at the open"Facade"of space of Chinese ancient potteries. In this report, the"Facade"of space created by Chinese ancient pottery arts and western classical sculptures was thoroughly compared to arrive at the conclusion on the similarity and differentiation of Chinese and western aesthetic standards. In the modern arts revolution of last century, the space conceptions formed by the classical sculpture arts were challenged, provoked and subverted. Nevertheless, the modern arts have not established new sensible modern space theories based on the disintegration of the ancient space conceptions. I believe, at this stage, conducting a research on the creativeness and openness of"Facade"of space relating to Chinese ancient pottery arts is an illuminating activity.
